Experience

I studied film studies through ages 15-18 at Secondary school, achieving an A in both GCSE and A-Level. From here I went on to study Filmmaking at university, wanting to focus more on the practical side of film. Going to University to study Filmmaking allowed me to expand my skillset practically whilst applying my theoretical knowledge from Film Studies. Alongside developing my skills within my course, I offer freelance work for friends and venues as videographer, production assistant, and other general creative roles.

My Work

Somewhere in Kent - A very personal film about my experience growing up in a town called Folkestone. I wrote, directed, edited and did the sound design for this.

This is a social realist film, focusing on the consequences of AI control of the education system.

For this film I was the editor, actor, sound designer and foley artist.

Daisy - A short film about the power of trust, and unintentional kindness.

For this film I was the boom operator, audio mixer and sound designer. I spent a lot of time with the director and cinematographer working through the shot list to enable I could offer most affective recording techniques, using radio/lapel microphones when using a boom microphone was not possible.

The Well of Mimir - A recreation of the mythical tale of Odin's sacrifice.

For this film I worked very closely with the director creating the soundtrack and the sound design. Working with the director really allowed for a collaborative outcome.

As well as this, I spent a lot of time translating the original script into modern Icelandic (due to it being the most similar to ancient norse) and doing ADR for both characters, mixing the voice tracks to make them sound different.

Consumed - another personal film which focuses on body dysmorphia and the struggles of feeling the constant need to conceal yourself in daily life. My aim for this short film was to create a comedic tone in reference to the way people who are uncomfortable with their bodies joke about them

For this film I was Director/writer, actor and sound designer in collaboration with Jed Bartholet.

The Battle of the Paper Planes - This was the first short film I ever made and might still be my favourite.

I shot and edited on iPhone and filmed the majority of it in my house. This film always reminds me of the power of creativity, and how a lot of the time it transcends the need for "high quality production".

Wrapped - A short PSA about social medias impact on teenagers mental health, specifically around body dysmorphia.

For this project I was cinematographer, choreographer, director, editor and producer. I stepped out of my comfort zone here due to having not worked much outside of sound roles.
